Summer 2006 in North America

Traveling with Guru Maharaja again this year for his North American Summer preaching program makes me feel excited and looking forward for a whole month and a half of transcendental experience. It is a service which I am rendering to our Guru Maharaj for the last 8 years. I do not know what pious activities I may have performed in the past to get this blessings. But one thing is for sure that it is only by the mercy of our Guru Maharaja that I am with him.

We left Delhi on June 9th early in the morning. Our first stop was Moscow to attend the 14th anniversary of Sri Sri Nitai Sacidulal's installation ceremony held on the 10th of June. I haven't been in Russia for 5 years.

We were greeted by at least 30 devotees at the Moscow airport. Actually we were detained by the customs officers for about 30 minutes due to some of my ayurvedic medicine they mistakenly identified as contraband. We went straight to Sadhu Priya's flat and Guru Maharaja took rest for a couple of hours.

Guru Maharaja told me to write some diaries about his recent trip in South Russia. I was fortunate to accompany him during that trip as his secretary. Guru Maharaja is very kind and he knows how to encourage any useless person and engage him or her in devotional service of Lord Sri Krishna.

Guru Maharaja came to Moscow on September 6th from Delhi. He was accompanied by Aniruddha prabhu, our senior Moscow Godbrother. When he was in Russia one month before in S. Petersburg Guru Maharaja fell on a staircase and hit his hip. Thanks Krishna it proved not very serious but still to be on the safe side he did not want to fly to India alone and requested Aniruddha prabhu to accompany him. Now he was flying back.
